Yi Shen
‘Yi graduated with distinction from the University of Adelaide in 2022 with a Bachelor of Nursing. After starting her career at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, she transitioned into primary care and has since been working in a clinic setting. In her role, Yi conducts comprehensive clinical assessments, including vital signs monitoring, Mini-Mental State Examinations, and geriatric depression assessments. She manages wound care, administers immunizations, and supports chronic disease management through GP Care Plans, patient education, and medication adherence. Yi also promotes health and wellbeing through lifestyle education, facilitates screening tests, assists doctors in minor surgical procedures, performs diagnostic tests such as ECGs and spirometry, and provides emergency first aid when required.
As a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and licensed Registered Nurse I, Yi possesses strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, nursing fundamentals, and medical terminology. She is recognized as a competent team player who communicates and collaborates effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Known for her ability to stay calm and composed in emergencies, Yi has a proven record of delivering high-quality care while managing demanding workloads.
Outside of work, Yi enjoys hiking and traveling, where she finds inspiration in both natural landscapes and cultural experiences.’
